Travis Outlaw was waived today and the Nets have used their amnesty clause. Should we pick him up? I've always liked his play on the Blazers, and can play the occasional 4 (which we need badly). He doesn't have the body for a 4, but is very athletic and has a good shot. What does this do to our cap?

No. We have Frye, Morris, and Warrick at the 4. Not sure Outlaw is better than any of those.

We need an undersized Power Forward badly, leaving our Center to be the only big man on the court?!? Oh, my goodness! :bang:

We already have an undersized Power Forward (that plays) badly.

Frye is actually not undersized. He just plays soft. But you are right about the rest of the guys that played PF last year. They were undersized.

Going back decades, the only time the Suns have had good sized Power Forwards was when they had to play alongside undersized Centers and be de-facto Centers.

I was talking about Warrick. Frye is what he is, a great role player stuck on a team that needs a true power forward. He'll never have the foundation to play the role we wish he could play.

Warrick may actually see some playing time at SF this season per a Paul Coro article dated 12-15-11 at azcentral.

Morris' presence prompted the Suns to waive Gani Lawal and has coach Alvin Gentry considering small forward spot duty for Hakim Warrick. Warrick has shot the ball well from the perimeter during camp and would give Phoenix a big-look option as a wing.
