Outlook express comes as a package with Internet Explorer.... try reinstalling the latest IE 6 download and you should get it.

I got WinXP Media version...I'll check it out when I get home about OE
No OE in Media Center. I would go with Office Outlook over OE anyday.

I'm perplexed - I'm pretty sure it didn't & I gots IE 6 on the new computer....
You got your new computer and installed the pre-installed operating system the manufacturer provided. I never use the pre-installed OS because the company will put extra software on there, take out software, etc.... There is probably Eudora or something else on there and they took out OE or it just wasn't installed.

The first thing I do when I get a new computer is install a clean version of the operating system

You can't, You bought a PC with Windows Media Center this is Microsoft's new OS that only can be purchased though OEM which will have all the same stuff on it as what you got. I would just add the Office suite to your PC. I talked with my onsite MS guy and he says it will work on WMC. The email function built into WMC but it is watered down version of OE.
