I think if I had a nickel for every player who has been labeled overpaid, I would be almost as rich as the aforementioned (is that a word?) players.
This is one of my pet peeves - the payment doled out to athletes in all sports. Why can't things be done that follow Wally's rules of common sense? Pay these guys based upon their performance, not their expected performance? Give them a base pay, and then pass out the bonus checks once a month. They all get enough money to buy injury insurance, so let the team that gets stuck with a really injured player, get out from under the obligation. I could go on, but what's the use - it's kinda like fantasy bb except it's not fun and it is real.
