Can Owings play right field? He probably will not be starting in the playoffs anyway, right? They need to get his bat in the line up. 2 for 2 and an RBI so far today. Just put him out there until Upton comes up to speed.

What if we made it to the World Series and Micah had to pitch in the American League Park? Wouldn't that suck? I know that is thinking too far ahead, but the irony would be unbearable.

I'm pretty sure he could still bat if he wants to.

If we go with a 3 man rotation in the playoffs. I think Owings should be one of the arms. My choice would be... Webb, Davis, Owings as of right now. Hernandez has failed to impress me as of late, and I truly believe that Owings is a big game pitcher, that adds a DH spot pretty much in our lineup.

I don't know about starting him in the field yet, but I could see sticking him somewhere after a double switch. I believe he played 1st, 3rd and OF in college.

We should at least be using him as a pinch hitter more. Not using that bat would be a big waste for a team with a mediocre offense.

First base, that way his arm does not get warn out in the outfield and he can DH in the World Series.

I don’t want to take out Tony’s or CoJac’s bat. I say RF on his off days and put him in the pitching rotation. What does he have now 16 shut out innings?

OK I am jk about playing him and pitching him but he has to be part of the offence of this team and right now he is there hottest pitcher.

You have to at least consider moving Owings to the #3 spot in the rotation if AZ makes the post season. Livan has been terrible and Davis hasn't been much better. Owings has been throwing great, and his bat cannot be ignored.

I say put in the clean-up spot. :D

Why not? I think Melvin prefers to put the power in the numner 1 spot

There oughta be some kind of quasi-no-hitter category for pitchers who throw complete games and get as many hits as they give up. :)
