The Kansas City Chiefs are signing former Green Bay Packers cornerback Robert Rochell to a one-year deal, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Rochell marks the third Packers cornerback to depart in free agency, joining Eric Stokes and Corey Ballentine.
Rochell, who turns 27 next month, played in 20 games for the Packers over the last two seasons, mostly on special teams. He was signed by the Packers off the practice squad of the Carolina Panthers in October of 2023.
Over two seasons in Green Bay, Rochell played 233 special teams snaps and just a single snap on defense. He tallied six tackles and a fumble recovery.
Rochell was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the fourth round of the 2021 draft.
The departures in free agency -- and the likely departure of Jaire Alexander -- suggest a complete rebuild is coming at cornerback. The Packers signed Nate Hobbs from the Las Vegas Raiders early in free agency.
