The 2025 NFL Draft is 24 days away. As April 24 gets closer and closer, Brian Gutekunst is probably getting the itch to get his hands on more picks.
The best way for Gutekunst to get his hands on an extra pick or two is by finding a team that would be willing to take on Jaire Alexander. Maybe the Buffalo Bills would be willing to trade a late Day 3 pick to get the former All-Pro cornerback.
It seems unlikely that the Green Bay Packers will find a team willing to trade for Alexander. The best way for Gutekunst to get more picks may be via a trade down in the first round.
In this mock draft, the Packers find a trade partner in the Kansas City Chiefs, who make the move from the 31 to 23 by trading the 31st, 95th, 133rd and 251st overall picks to select Ohio State offensive tackle Josh Simmons.
A wide receiver in the first round? By now you know the Packers haven't drafted a wide receiver in the first round since 2002.
Higgins checks the boxes with his frame, athleticism and strong hands. The Cyclone wide receiver catches everything thrown his way. The 6-4, 214-pound wide receiver was dinged for two drops on 129 targets this past season. He has a large catch radius and outstanding body control.
Higgins has the tools to develop into a team's No. 1 wide receiver and he'd provide Jordan Love with a big-bodied target with strong hands.
Turner is a heavy-handed defensive tackle who shoots gaps with his first-step quickness. He has an impressive bull rush and can cave the pocket. Over the last three seasons, Turner recorded 79 pressures and 8.5 sacks.
With his athleticism and power, Turner has the tools to be a gap disrupter and would give Green Bay's interior pass rush a much-needed shot in the arm.
Williams is an instinctive cornerback and could be a great fit in Jeff Hafley's system. He has natural ball skills and finished his career with 14 career interceptions and 25 pass deflections, including seven interceptions and nine pass deflections this past season. The UNLV transfer could challenge for reps on the boundary during his rookie season and could be the type of difference-maker Hafley is looking for at the position.
Milum finished his career as a Mountaineer with 35 starts at left tackle and eight at right tackle. The former four-star recruit is a technician who uses a timely punch and stays balanced in his pass sets. Milum could kick inside to guard. He plays with a bit of an edge as a run blocker.
