Aaron Rodgers said he was going to go after the Green Bay Packers’ two rookie cornerbacks during organized team activities. On one play Thursday, first-round pick Jaire Alexander got the best of the two-time MVP. According to reporters on the scene at Ray Nitschke Field, Alexander intercepted an attempted back-shoulder throw to Geronimo Allison during a live team period in the red zone. He used his quickness to break on the throw and his well-documented ball skills to complete the play. One interception during a May practice doesn’t mean the Packers should start sizing up their rookie cornerback for a gold jacket, but it is the first glimpse during an open practice of Alexander’s playmaking ability.
