It’s still way early, but the Green Bay Packers’ backup quarterback competition has taken an interesting plot twist. Tim Boyle, the undrafted free agent out of Eastern Kentucky, took the field on Family Night and ran with the second-string group in team drills, ahead of Brett Hundley and DeShone Kizer. Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Not only did we get our first glimpse of Boyle eclipsing Hundley and Kizer in the pecking order, but we saw why: Boyle looked more comfortable in the pocket and has a rocket for an arm.
