Padres 3B Headley out with broken finger (AP)

Padres third baseman Chase Headley has a broken left little finger and was not in the lineup against the Pirates on Sunday. Headley, who leads the Padres with 43 RBIs and a .292 average, was hurt while sliding during the Padres' 13-2 win on Saturday night. Headley was not placed on the disabled list, and the team will see how he responds over the next few days.
