Coming home to Petco Park has made a huge difference for the San Diego Padres. Brian Giles drove in two runs for the second straight night and the Padres beat the struggling Chicago Cubs 3-1 Saturday to extend their season-high winning streak to eight games, all on the current homestand. The Padres were a downtrodden bunch after going winless on a six-game trip through Houston and Chicago.
