The Diamondbacks have only themselves to blame tonight. Looks like not only the Padres, but Rockies gain a game on the Diamondbacks.

Peavy goes for the Padres tonight. Look for him to have a relatively short outing, especially if the Padres jump out ahead early. If their playoff lives hang in the balance on the last day of the season, he'll have to come back and pitch on 3 days rest.

Hopefully the Giants can keep it close and ramp up his pitch count early. Best of both worlds for us.

Can't win a game in Pittsburgh? This is sickening.
Somehow, we still have the best record in the NL but have three teams within 2 games of us after tonight.
I'm not feeling good about these last four.
