this pace only gets him to a 3rd place tie all-time for sacked in 1 year... to get the all time record, he will have to maintain this pace and somehow add 9 more sacks to that pace over the next 12 games... I got faith in Carson ... go CP ! you can do it !

That's 2002 Houston Texans territory.

And they've been going with more max protection.

I have a feeling Stanton will be starting a few games this season.

I will say this, a OL plays as a team. The OL was not any good in the beginning of the year and if we keep replacing guys with 'now he is injured' with 'now he is not', this line will never develop any chemistry to block. I think the sub par talent on the line now might be able to be just below average (that is better by the way) if we stop playing movable turnstiles

The O-line sucks, there is no debating that...... But much like Whisencan't.... He does nothing protection-wise or with play-calling to help his QB... And if your argument is that Palmer has liberty to audible... Well.... Then he's a masochist, or had too many concussions, and can't be trusted to do so any longer.

When 5 men can't prevent 3 or 4 from getting to the QB, your QB is eventually going to end up in intensive care. Seriously, I've never seen an offensive line this bad. Watching this line has me longing for the twin turnstiles in Brown and Keith and that's saying something.

I believe in the Gameday thread it was said he has been hit 41 times so far. And I'm not sure that was the end of the game. Can't continue to let this happen and think that CP will last the entire season.

Are we going to match our (in)famous low of the 72/72 offense? I can't remember what year it was, but our line gave up 72 sacks and we only averaged 72 yards/game rushing.

Can't run the ball and the D knows it. It is Palmer or we don't move the ball. Any good runs we have are called back.

It was 78/78, Plummers rookie year I believe. Looked it up 1997, Plummer started 9 games, played in 10 and was sacked 52 times.

Should we be surprised?

AQ - love the toughness but he probably wouldn't start for another NFL team
Boehm - He couldn't beat out Shipley! He is at best an average C who is playing G.

Iupati and Humprhies are injured.
Disappointed in Veldheer.

I thought it was the 78 club.
