No he is, and one can look at the record when he starts for us. Somebody has to say it. The guy is a leader and a good QB. He thinks about winning and has a passion about it. He has the respect of all the guys on the team and also the adoration of teammates because they know they need him to win a Super Bowl (not because he is a better option in comparison to past pseudo NFL Cardinal QBs but because Palmer is an exceptional QB when not playing for a wacked franchise). Palmer has been with the character issued Bengals and the 'what the hell' Raiders. Funny, but the guy is finally with a team that is not dysfunctional for the last stage of his career and guess what... that is now no longer the Cardinal franchise! :raccoon:

Thanks for the post JG . Each of the 32 QB's starting in the NFL are with a different Front Office --- Group of Coaches , and different Group of Players that can be summed up in one word " CIRCUMSTANCE " . I would surmise that Carson Palmer has always been as good as his record here indicates ( 14 and 2 ) in his last 16 starts . Some will judge him by Cincy and Oakland DIFFERENT CIRCUMSTANCES , he was never 14 and 2 in either of those places and was never going to be .

Give him just a little time and he will shred you. Warner seemed to be able to be successful with no time at all. That is what made him special. Those offensive lines were terrible.

17 & 6 as a Cardinal... His teammates love him. He's as solid of a human being off the field as they come. I'd go to war with him anytime, anywhere...

Great post and isn't it wonderful and amazing that Palmer ends up on the Cards and we are no longer a wacked franchise like the Bengals and Raiders.

He's been so clutch since being here. Can only see him getting better as the season goes on. I have to admit, I was a little skeptical at first when they signed him. Guess it was a no brainer giving up a 7th round pick for him and him being a successful vet in the league. Another great move by Kiem and company. Been so much fun being a Cards fan these past 8 or so years because now we expect to win instead of hoping we win!

Night and day from what we witnessed in the playoff game and the tail end of last season.

I think they will develop an early Rd. pick next draft. Possibly even a 1st Rd. pick. Most important position in all sports, imo.

So. Is our next starting quarterback on someone else's roster right now, like Palmer in Oakland? Who, out there, is a quality QB in a bad situation?

Got to continue up front. Keep him clean. There are three QB's since 88. Lomax, Plummer, Warner and Carson Palmer. Lomax gets an * as he played very little for USD, but what he did was spectacular!

Colin Cowherd thinks it is Andrew Luck. Says he loves Arians and is already getting frustrated in Indy and may not sign and extension to set it up to replace Palmer. You know the Cardinals would give up 2 #1's to sign him when they franchise him.

Cowherd said that? Is it just his thinking or is there some real evidence behind it?

He did say where he came up with that or as least I did not hear. The part about the 2 1st rounders is my speculation.

I'd luv the Cards to cough up two #1's & whatever else to go get Cook from Sparta.

How are the Bengals wacked, don't they make playoffs like every year?

The Bengals making the playoffs 4 consecutive years is not an NFL record .
The Bengals going ONE AND DONE 4 consecutive years is an NFL record .
