Yay? I guess? I'd rather hear from him when he can definitely grip a ball and gun it down the field, but I'll take this.

The best part I get from all this is that we won't have to go with Logan Thomas anytime soon. :)

I'm happy to hear this. It sounds like he will start throwing in practice next week. If he can go close to 100% against the Broncos gives us a better chance of winning.

Palmer says he'll return in Week 5

Here's some more:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11580127/carson-palmer-arizona-cardinals-says-ready-week-5

"I'm fired up to be 3-0. I'll definitely be ready against Denver," he told ESPN in a text message.

[....]

He described this as being "the biggest week of my career,'' and told ESPN he's been at the facility every day during the bye week preparing for his comeback after a two-game absence because of a nerve injury in his shoulder that prevented him from gripping a football.

"It's super important to get 100 percent before we start preparing for Week 5,'' he said. "I'm fired up to be healthy and can't wait.''

Are you serious?

Is there actually anyone who thinks Stanton could have done as well or even better than Palmer last season when the receivers including Fitz kept running the wrong routes (resulting in most of the interceptions Palmer threw, per BA) and missing the hot reads (which requires knowing how to read the defense and changing your route), or trying to read defenses and pass while behind a very porous offensive line?

Let's get real and keep in mind the brief and meteoric successes of Matt Flynn, Kevin Kolb (did you know he did not ask for a new and huge contract when he was traded to the Cards-it was Whiz & Doofus' fault, and Matt Cassel. They all were mediocre or busts later on.

So far, Stanton has proven himself to be very good, but he has receivers who are now running the correct routes and has had exceptional pass blocking protection. And as they say, give ANY NFL level QB enough time, and he will pick any defense out there apart. BTW, if Palmer had been playing and turned in Stanton's pass completion percentage and passed for yardage, everyone, including BA would consider those to have been subpar performances for Palmer.

So what happens when he gets picked twice in the 1st half? Unfortunately, we'll have to live with it because Palmer's not coming out unless he incurs another injury.

Machgman may have missed the smiley with the "are you serious ", but I believe him to be correct with everything else he stated in his post .

Too bad Kevin Kolb didn't get better when Double Dunce was drawing accolades.

And too bad DD Skelton got worse when he got the praise.

What a disaster. 11-2 to 1-9.

You gotta love Cardinal football.

My thoughts exactly. It's going to be a tough scenario no matter which QB is out there against Denver. To me, Palmer is going to say he is ready even if he is not 100%, even 75%. Last thing Palmer wants to see is Stanton to go out and beat the Broncos because then the starting QB's questions will start to get heated. IMO
