Even though they're encouraged by the state of their wide receiver room, the Carolina Panthers aren't ruling out adding another pass catcher into the mix come next week.

On Tuesday, president of football operations and general manager Dan Morgan held court with reporters for the final time before the 2025 NFL draft. He was asked for his take on the offense's current group of wideouts, and if he's looking to bolster that bunch during the selection process.

"We're excited about the development of Xavier [Legette] and Jalen Coker and some of our young guys," he replied. "So with [Adam] Thielen still in there, re-signing David Moore—I think we do feel good about our receiver room. We're looking forward to seeing them compete and just get better and better.

"That's not to say that we're not gonna invest in a receiver at some point during the draft. So we're just gonna draft really good football players and if it's a wideout, then so be it."

One of those really good football players could be the University of Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan. The 2024 consensus All-American, who has a reported "top-30" visit with the Panthers, may be under consideration for the team's first-round pick.

Some other notable names to keep an early eye on include Texas' Matthew Golden, Missouri's Luther Burden III and Ohio State's Emeka Egbuka.

But if the Panthers pass up on the class, they'll be entering 2025 with a, well, less-than-ideal box of toys for third-year quarterback Bryce Young.

While Legette and Coker did flash at times during their rookie campaigns in 2024, there's still some growth to be achieved. Carolina also can't bank on Moore, who has never posted more than 445 receiving yards in a single season.

So, as of now, Young's best wideout just might be Thielen, who turns 35 years old in August.
