The Wal-Mart thread made me think of this. When I worked as a consultant out of college, one of my assignments was working for Disney Home Video (then actually called Buena Vista Home Video, but the same thing)

If you want to elaborate and say how many kids you have, how old they are, if you prefer to watch in the theater or if you prefer to rent them, that would interesting to hear as well.

Me? I don't have kids and I only own one - "101 Dalmations". Love that movie.

I'm only asking about the animated features - the ones highlighted in yellow that can be found on this link : List of Disney Films

I have a 3 and a 4 year old

We own a stack of movies that are Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks. I would venture to guess our collection is at 65 movies, just animation and not movies like "Journey to the Center of the Earth" or "Roger Rabbit"

Mine is starting to grow now that my son just turned 1. He is still not allowed to watch TV(except for the "My Baby Can Read" series), but within the next year, those movies will be life savers.

I'm pretty sure dcr would say "all of them".

Combined we have 5 "kids" 19, 17, 10, 8 & 7. We almost never go to the theater; he just buys them outright.

Just about. If there was a 100+ option I would have picked that.

I think it is closer to about 150.

edit, if you want to talk about only the yellow films, I am only missing 2. Tinkerbell and Teacher's Pet.

I have an 18 month old daughter and a 4yr old son. My son really isn't into the cartoon stuff anymore (though he LOVED Cars and Monsters Inc) and is more into Animal Planet/Discovery Channel these days (everything has to be about sharks and aquatic life to him) but my daughter still really enjoys the movies. My son does like all of the Pixar video games though.

Regardless of what they like, I buy the movies because I typically dig all of the Pixar stuff and it's good to have movies the whole family can enjoy together (when my son is making us all watch Jaws for the 3 billionth time :) )

I own all of them that are available on DVD and every Pixar/Disney classic that's on Blu-Ray except for Monsters, Inc.

And for the record, Ratatouille looks amazing on Blu-Ray.

I too own all of them. I am actually slowly replacing my entire collection with Blu Ray versions. Strictly speaking to the Pixar films, owning all of them is a must up to this point.
