I'm flying over for the Niners game but it's just occured to me that I have no idea what the deal is with parking at UoP stadium - other than it seems to be entirely permit only. I can't believe this only just occurred to me today!

So, any advice as to where to park? What do single game ticket holders usually do? I will be extremely grateful for any advice anyone may be able to give!!

Single game tickets park in the BROWN LOT! There are plenty of signs to direct you. From there you hop on a bus and they shuttle you the mile or so to the stadium.

I have an extra pass too. No shuttle. Park next to the Great Lawn and the Stadium.

Traffic will be BAD! Monday rush hour plus the game.I would get there early early early.Gates open 4 hours before kickoff.Even if you leave 1 1/2 hours before the game starts you may miss kickoff.

I would take earthsci's offer of that pass. The Lawn is where its at.
If anybody would like to sell me an extra Orange pass I will gladly pay $15.
A bunch of people from work are going & have no pass.

Yeah, Napier, a bunch of people have extra parking passes that go unused.

So far this season, I have sent two PPs to other ASFN'ers and threw the other 4 in the recycle can. I usually either carpool or take Dave's RF1 bus so I have no need for it.

I can't help you out for the 49'ers game since I already sent my PP to someone else. But if anyone is an out-of-towner that needs a parking pass, feel free to PM me, as I don't anticipate using them.

If Napier doesn't take me up on it I'll let you have it.

I'm A New Yorker

And I made my first trip to Arizona, this year and attended both the Buffalo and Dallas games, and only recently returned home. It was a trip of a lifetime for me from both a football and travel experience. I don't fly so I travelled by Iron Horse or to be specific, three horses in each direction, and arrived in Flagstaff where I rented a car. For the games we (my wife and I) stayed in Scottsdale and I had no idea about parking. Left our hotel at 10:15 in the morning and arrived at the stadium about a half hour later. Was directed to 91st St or Ave and drove about a mile or two to a school, which serves as the Brown parking lot. As a New Yorker I couldn't believe the parking was free as was the school bus (right at the school, they start at 11AM) which drops you off a couple of hundred yards from the stadium. When I entered Univ. of Phoenix Stadium, all I could say was wow. It is beautiful. Programs were free, people were friendly and the gift store was great. Only complaint (and not a real one) was that at 11:30 I froze, the AC is cold. When the stadium filled up, around game time, it got more comfortable. For the Buffalo game I was in the last row in the top deck but right on the 50 yard line, and had no trouble following the game. For Dallas, again in the top deck but in the corner of the end zone, about half way up, but again no problem seeing the action. Of course I was surrounded by Cowboy fans and that wasn't fun, but since we didn't buy tix until a few weeks before, I can't complain. Well you know how the games turned out, and add in the GC, Sedona, Flag, Santa Fe, Taos, The Coconino Forest, Walnut Canyon, the many Indian Pueblos (Wuptaki-Sp?), and Trading Posts. The Phoenix Botanical Gardens, The Heard Museum, The Northern Arizona Museum, the Lowell Observatory, and scenery too beautiful to describe, well you get the idea. Throw in breakfast at L'Aubrege in Sedona, ice cream at the Sugar Bowl in Scottsdale, and dinner at Geronimo's in Santa Fe, with margaritas at the Pink Adobe, also in Santa Fe resulted in my changing positions from a football perspective. I started my trip as a SS and ended as a NT. But like I said it was a trip of a lifetime. as an aside on the radio, I got to listen to Wolf as well as Gambo and Ash, and must say I enjoyed both shows. I'll close by saying that everyone who lives in the southwest, lives in a beautiful part of the country.

Sounds like you had an amazing trip to Arizona Garthshort, particularly the Dallas game! :D

I'd agree what the southwest is very beautiful; personally, I miss it a lot. I haven't been able to fly over since we moved to the new stadium and I can't wait; the tickets are up on the top deck, so its good to know that the view of the game is still good!

Chamber of commerce stuff, Garth. Taos, in New Mexico, is still underappreciated by travelers but Santa Fe (unfortunately) was discovered in mass by the California beautiful people about 15 years ago and price-wrecked since. It's always a nice visit anyway.

Sounds like you did it right. Well done.

Well,

I am going to be flying in for the weekend and if someone has a pass they could slide my way I would be very appreciative!

I sent a couple of PM's out. Hopefully there is one for me.
