ESPN writer Len Pasquarelli writes at ESPN.com that the Cardinals will hire Green as coach. I don't know how accurate his work is but he states Fassel will go to the Bears and Crennel to the Giants.

Is this his inside information or is this his opinion?

This is his OPINION from an article on ESPN where he projects who everyone will hire. This is NOT inside information. The Cardinals will not hire ANYONE until after they have interviewed all their candidates.

I was VERY happy with the things he had to say.

He also states that we are about 20 million under that cap??
I thought that we were around 10 million? If it is boy could we do some damage in the FA market.

Anybody know what are real cap figure is .

That's twice what Jurecki said a couple of weeks ago. The other day, Mike Bidwill said we'v have 8 million to spend on free agents. That jibes with what Jurecki said because we leave ourselves about two million going into the season (except for last year.) Len P was looking at last year maybe? Or, he's not accounting this year's extensions more likely.

Weeks ago I said Green was my top choice. Alas, after yesterday's dog and pony show, I'm convinced he will not be the guy here. That press conference sounded too much like Watters, Colvin, Holliday, etc. More importantly, we let him leave with no offer. So, he's gone. I hope our real target is Fassel and we wow him with an offer this weekend.

I don't think you want to throw a contract at the first coach that impresses you. They probably gave Green a response date - most likely this Sunday or Monday, after interviewing everyone else.

Think if they throw a contract at Green tomorrow but today he is at a press conference wearing brick red and saying how impressed he is with Snyder and the Redskins, etc etc. Then we feel stupid and have played our options too early - very unlike Graves.

Now imagine Fassel is here Saturday and he is more impressive than Green and really wants to coach here more than anywhere else. Now you have time to get on the horn with both Green and Fassel, you know what they want to coach, you know what assistants they are interested in bringing on board and you know how they handled the other teams they interviewed with this last week. Then you strike quickly and both the team and future coach get to decide with little regret.

Dammit, ajcardfan, don't you do any gambling ;)

I hope it goes the way you say.

As for gambling, no, I was never very good at it. Poker games with me in it were probably some of the shortest on record because I either won it all, or lost it all, in about ten hands! There weren't a whole lot of times I won it all! ;)
