Source: The Hollywood Reporter
January 5, 2007

Patrick Wilson will play the male lead in the supernatural thriller Passengers, being produced and financed by Mandate Pictures, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Anne Hathaway already has boarded the Rodrigo Garcia-directed film, which Columbia Pictures will release domestically.

Written by Ronnie Christensen, Passengers centers on a grief counselor (Hathaway) who helps six plane crash survivors and develops a special connection with one of them. When the survivors begin to disappear mysteriously, she suspects a conspiracy and becomes determined to uncover the truth.

Wilson (Little Children) will play Eric, the survivor who becomes romantically involved with Hathaway's character.

Plot Summary: After a plane crash, a young therapist, Claire (Anne Hathaway), is assigned by her mentor (Andre Braugher) to counsel the flight's five survivors. When they share their recollections of the incident – which some say include an explosion that the airline claims never happened – Claire is intrigued by Eric (Patrick Wilson), the most secretive of the passengers. Just as Claire's professional relationship with Eric – despite her better judgment – blossoms into a romance, the survivors begin to disappear mysteriously, one by one. Claire suspects that Eric may hold all the answers and becomes determined to uncover the truth, no matter the consequences.

Watched this on dvd, gotta say while I figured out the ending it took me awhile and was an interesting movie.

Watch this, then watch the last episode of Lost again, and then realize Passengers was made in 2008.
