After wrapping up a recent interview on the Rich Eisen Show, Denver Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain caught himself nearly slipping up with a catchphrase from an era the team's fans would like to forget.

"We about to go big," Surtain said of the team's free agency plans. "We're going to capitalize on this offseason for sure and build off the season we just had. Because now we've got high hopes. And, you know, we're going to make this Super Bowl run here in a few so, Broncos Country ... get ready."

After saying "Broncos Country," Surtain paused and smiled before saying "get ready." Eisen quickly pointed out that it seemed like Surtain stopped himself from saying "Let's Ride."

"I almost did, I had to catch myself a little bit," PS2 admitted.

"Let's Ride," of course, was the catchphrase of former Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson. The motto was eventually abandoned by the QB after pushback from fans. Wilson was later run out of town and the catchphrase has never returned.
