Patriots release two players to sign Dontrelle Inman, Jared Veldheer originally appeared on nbcsportsboston.com Xavier Ubosi, we hardly knew ye. The New England Patriots made the signings of wide receiver Dontrelle Inman and offensive lineman Jared Veldheer official Monday, releasing Ubosi and Calvin Anderson to make room for their new free-agent additions. Inman, who spent 2018 with the Indianapolis Colts, reportedly inked a one-year contract with the Patriots and could fill a Chris Hogan-type role in New England's offense alongside Julian Edelman, Demaryius Thomas, Phillip Dorsett, Maurice Harris and rookie N'Keal Harry.
