Why on earth would they do that? Especially midseason when it looks like they're headed for Super Bowl run?

That guy is a stud in a staple in the defense… Easily replaceable? Anybody have any theories how they plan to make up his production on the defense of side of the ball?

And for a third round pick? Hardly guaranteed to improve your team at a later date…

I would have paid a 2nd round pick for that guy. Shame.

i don't like this deal for the browns side of things either.. what are the odds he signs long term for them? he doesn't change 0-8, and he won't for as long as they keep him on expensive franchise tag either.

Well, you can trade a second rounder to the Browns for him then - they may be up for it.

Man are the Patriots slowly trading away all their good LBs? First Chandler Jones now Collins?

I wonder when Hightower becomes available.

does it matter? Everyone always scratches their head at almost every player Bellichek let's go and nothing changes... they just keep winning and stock-piling draft picks.

bottom line... "the system works". He's the Greg Popovic of the NFL.

Stupid Cleveland. Collins is seeking Von Miller money which is insane.

They get Collins for 8 meaningless games. Then Collins will:

  • Leave for a massive contract that he isn't worth
  • Get signed by Cleveland for a Massive contract that he isn't worth
  • Get franchised and paid way more than he is worth for a year on a team that is going no where. Then leave the following year.

That goes to show just how valuable an elite QB is.

They can do anything, get rid of anybody...and Brady makes it all irrelevant because he just wins anyways.

super jealous

Yup, and not to say the players they trade are not good but they look even better as trade bait when you have a coach like Belichick who can even win without Brady... with Brady, they can even make a average player (not calling Collins average) look better too

They have a guy they really like to pair with Hightower
Elandon Roberts, we were interested to him before the draft and he was selected in round 6
Undersize player, played for university of Houston
Fast player with great strenght and quickness
Keim found out other gems...

Belicheat rarely makes mistakes , if he drop a player is just because has someone eady to take his spot
Thats a great benefit for their cap room for the next season, gettin picks instead of paying big money
