I searched the forum and didn't see a thread on this. This movie ROCKED! Hysterical pretty much start to finish, yet very touching as well. It was also chock full o' great geeky jokes and references. And all I have to say is 'Cantina'!!!

Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz were both stellar films...I'd expect this one to be no different!

I'm looking forward to seeing this.

I can't get anyone to go with me. People have seen the previews and they think it's a kid's film. *sigh*

I'd go with ya, but I'm still trying to live down the whole drunk-chick-with-her-hand-in-my-back-pocket-at-a-party thing...people will talk.

Man, that is about as far from the case as possible! Funny thing is, I had a friend trying to get his girlfriend to watch Princess Bride with him. Not only did she think it was a kid's film, she thought it was a cartoon!

On a side note, if no one wants to see a movie with you, just go yourself. I don't have movie friends right here in my little town with me, so many times it is either go alone or not see it. Frak that! I'll go my own self.

I've actually started going to movies by myself once in a while and I am starting to really like it. You have no one to bother you and especially since I go on weekday afternoons I'm pretty much the only one in the theatre. The only problem is I have no one to talk to about the movie.

Plot Summary: Simon Pegg and Nick Frost ("Hot Fuzz," "Shaun of the Dead") reunite for the comedy adventure "Paul" as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America's UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever.

For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-traveling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town -- a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Collings (Frost).

Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes.
