Let's face it. We just weren't good enough to be a playoff team. You can't post double-digit penalties every week and blow 3 games against awful teams and make it.

He has the leg for it but 50+ yards are far from gimmees so he's somewhat excused from those. However there is no excuse for the ones he missed from 45 yards and in

He landed the big contract (for a kicker) and is still top 3 in pay. He got that kind of money because of the long kicks. Now, he's not living up to his deal.

I would've cut him after the Niners game. I guess I just hope he gets legitimate competition this offseason.

I have no problem with that. I'm just realistic when it comes to kicks from 53+ yards away. Its the equivalent of a 3 pointer in basketball ... if you hit 30% for the season, is a success. In other words, its not a high percentage play no matter how good they are

The majority of the ones that people bring up aren't those anyways and those are the ones he has absolutely no excuse for.

Already has been shown in past Rackers threads that Racker is not even in the top 15 kickers when it comes to salary.
