While I don't think Grimm is the best coach around, I do put him above many others. Whis likes what he seeing. I question the talent there before I question the coaching.

His oline has done alot of things right under difficult conditions, they have protected over 3000 pass attempts while only running the ball 2000 times in 5 years.
The pressure of the high pressure offense is on their shoulders. I did not think it was possible before they did this.

With Warner they gave up like 26 sacks with over 600 passes 2 years in a row. Now if you ran 60-40 I can see that- but not telegraphing and daring opposing defenses to blitz our oline regardless of down and distance.

Besides anybody that can vomit up a hot dog, pick it up and eat a 2nd time" can't waste a good dog" Well you want him on your side- not against you.

Can't agree with this. The offensive line problems have continued through several personnel changes. One guy looks just like the next one. Keith goes out Bridges comes in, nothing changes. Reggie Wells to Alan Faneca to Daryn Colledge, nothing changes. Lutui gets too fat to play, Hadnot comes in, nothing changes. Levi Brown moves from RT to LT, nothing changes.

Al Johnson goes out Lyle Sendlein comes in, Cards go to the Super Bowl. :p

Totally agree. Same missed blocks and assignments. Same lack of push on running plays. It's the same thing every year and it's so evident that it needs changing and yet the coaching staff stays the same.

Yeah, I think you're crazy too.

I understand showing respect for an O-lineman icon like Grimm, and feel it's probably good policy to tread lightly when discussing his pros and cons.

That said - the performance of our offensive line during the past couple of years has (by various standards of performance) been unacceptable.

At the very least, it would be nice to hear an honest forthright explanation by Russ and Wiz covering what went wrong, who was responsible and what we plan to do to fix it.

At the very most (although job loss is seldom pretty & should only be a last resort)), if one or more heads were to roll, it wouldn't shock me.

Grimm has been on other teams' radar for HC in recent years, there's still a decent chance he goes on to be a head coach for another team.

Had is the key word...he failed 3 interviews

He doesn't interview well for HC

He won't get another HC interview

You don't know that. Ron Rivera was passed over many times as have many other coaches before getting their chance.

You got his autograph at the end of that season too didn't you?:D

Just a hair before my time. But 40 year was at the game with his grandkids and got an autograph for me.

Getting old though. Saw my first Texas-OU game in 1958. First Cardinal game in 1960. Hard to believe it took 48 years to see the Cards in a Championship game. What a run that was. Texas wins the BCS title in 2005/6. St.Louis wins the World Series in 2006 and Arizona wins the NFC title at home in 2008/9 (what a half time meet that was).

Has Grimm even had an interview for a head coaching position since he came here? That's just one or two interviews in the past... five years? None in the last two at least?

His name doesn't even come up for jobs anymore.
