Apparently, the NY Jets and Giants are considering the licensing of season-ticket holders to ante up for the right to preserve their seat locations in the teams’ new homes.

Personal seat licenses are like taxi medallions or a seat on a financial exchange. Buying one entitles the fan to have first call on the purchase of a season ticket. Fans can re-sell and buy licenses among themselves or online, with the value pegged to the local market and win-loss dynamics.

this isnt a new concept by any means......my parents have PSLs at Raymond James stadium, as do fans in other stadiums.....

there are positives and negatives to them, but so far my folks haven't really complained

Jerry Jones (aka:devil:) is doing it in his new stadium also. Get this : $15,000 to $50,000 per ticket!!! The guy has lost his mind. Fans are refusing (so far) to buy.

We have PSL's here in St. Louis as well.

Fortunately, with the collapse of the dollar and the poor performance of the rams, the increased cost of toiletpaper can be offset by wiping with your PSL instead.

The Raiders did this as well. Can you imagine watching that team now knowing you shelled out those bucks?

LOL. Was this post supposed to make us shiver? Any season ticket holder knows of PSL's. If the Cards ever do go this route, I'm out no matter what. I'll cheer them on as always, but F the PSL. I would much rather spend the money on ASU or heck, even Suns season tix. I think the NFL is going to burn out pretty soon. Every empire falls. They are on a collision course. They wil always survive, but the public, as stupid as they are, are only so stupid.

This isn't news.

It was a big deal that the Cards did NOT have PSLs in the new stadium. It was a great move.

Doesn't bother me at all, I will never have season tickets to anyone anyway.

Cardinal Club seat holders have to sign a license agreement for a minimum of 3 years but there is no charge for the license only the annual season ticket expense.

The Carolina Panthers use Seat Licenses as well.

If the Cardinals ever went this route, I would no longer buy season tickets. The Cowboys charging $10k + for theirs is just completely stupid. Jerry Jones has lost all grip on reality. He's been obscenely wealthy for so long, he has no conception of how much $10k is to normal people.

The Bears have psl's too. I personally think it's like stealing from the ticket holder. For God's sake, when is enough enough?

I'm a die hard cards fan, and I'm thinking of saying no to the $250+ cost of getting the Sunday ticket next year on Directv. $10k for a PSL (for any team)? Yeah right!
