New Jersey Devils coach Pete DeBoer will return next season. Devils President Lou Lamoriello said Sunday there has been a lot of speculation about DeBoer's status after the team missed the playoffs for the second straight season and most of it has been wrong. Lamoriello, also the general manager, said DeBoer, who led the Devils to the Stanley Cup finals in 2012, is under contract for next season and that he will be the coach.
