ESPN is reporting that, this morning, Pete Rose sent a petition to the MLB commissioner's office asking to be reinstated. The justification: that, in light of Houston Astros players not being punished for the sign-stealing stuff, Rose's lifetime ban is “vastly disproportionate. From the petition: “There cannot be one set of rules for Mr. Rose and another for everyone else.
