It didn't look like it was that bad as he was running smoothly after the pick. I hope I'm right...

Didn't look to bad until he dropped to ground and couldn't continue off field on his own. :(

Probably miss the last game as a precaution with nothing at stake and all. He will have the complete off season to let what ever it is heal up. That's good.

I missed that part. Thought he had help, but was putting some weight on it. An achilles injury would be the cherry on top of this showing today.

He was headed off field. Then dropped to ground. Walked on limping on his own after trainer looked at him. Still not good. Just hope it's only a strain. :(

He didn't tear his Achilles. He wouldn't be able to take a step without it.

He's tougher than you! :)

And when the DE for Cincinnati tire it a few years back I watched him walk off on own power so that obviously isn't an absolute.

He should NOT play next week. Even healthyish.

Although getting that NFL record would be pretty sweet. :)

We had the guard pulling and we were going back into the backside of the hole with the fullback,” Whisenhunt said. “John said the guard hit him on the hand. That happens every once in a while. Unfortunately it happened at the worst time.”

We had that happen to us twice in 2006. :bang:

Wilson comes in, leads with his shoulders and his helmet scraps the side of the QB's helmet. Wilson did nothing wrong in my book

Agree... it was at best incidental "brushing" of helmets... hey, that's why they wear helmets. Complete ******** call.

What about the "horse collar tackle"? On the replay Dockett was holding on to jersey, not his pads.

IMO the NFL has gone way to far to protect players. It's gets to the point that it takes away some of the physicality of the game.

One rule I would love to see the league institute to benefit defenses is to call a QB down when a defender wraps them up. Sure it takes some of the excitement, but IMO the league has given offenses so many advantages that they should toss defenses a bone.

Fitzgerald was asked if he thought Peterson would make the Pro Bowl as a cornerback one day:
"I think he's right there. He's tremendously talented. I don't he even knows how talented he is. Talking to (Bengals receiver) A.J. Green after the game a little bit, and he's telling me Patrick was by far the best cornerback he's gone against. I feel the same way. When I compete against him, there are not many guys around the league that I play on Sundays who can match up with his physical tools. And then you talk about his ball skills, the way he's able to go attack the football at its highest point, tackle. I mean, the only thing he needs is experience, and I think playing every single game this year gave him that. His confidence you see is just continuing to rise week in and week out."

A silver lining in the Toler injury. If Greg doesn't get hurt PP21 probably doesn't start until week 6 or 7.

:p

Peterson is a very talented player, but he still needs to put it all together. We will see if that happens, or if he goes all DRC on us.
