The Tampa Bay Buccaneers coaching staff is one of the best despite the constant turnover from them leaving for promotions elsewhere. As a result, they can get the most out of players up and down the roster. In the NFL Draft, players taken on days one and two have defined roles, whereas players taken on days three seem to have fluidity regarding what they may be tasked with doing when they get on the NFL roster.

PFF took a chance at identifying some day-three fits for every NFL team, including the Bucs, and their takeaway was fitting them with an edge rusher from the ACC.

Ashton Gillotte from Louisville isn't physically imposing, but he makes up for it with his motor. Having the energy and effort is half the battle for edge rushers anymore with extended plays and so many quarterbacks rolling out. Mason Cameron explains the pairing, writing, "Although he lacks the length of other edge rushers in this class — which could lead to him finding a home as a 5-technique — Gillotte is as strong as an ox and plays like it. He maintains excellent speed-to-power transition to eat up blockers and press the pocket, allowing him to generate a 19.4% pass-rush win rate across the past two seasons."

Gillotte would be a fun addition to the rotation for the Bucs, but he can't be the only one. The team will need to draft a monster in round one or trade for one. They need someone they can rely on to get 10-15 sacks a year consistently, while others can be a part of a reliable rotation, which Gillotte could have a role within.
