Phillies drop Eaton from playoff roster (AP)

Despite Adam Eaton's big contract, the Phillies can't afford to pitch him in the playoffs. Eaton was left off Philadelphia's postseason roster for their first round-series against Colorado. The Phillies will use a four-man rotation, so Eaton didn't make the cut. "It's the best case for the team," Eaton said Tuesday.
