PHOENIX - Fox Sports Net Arizona takes another step in delivering the region's sports fans unparalleled television coverage of the Phoenix Suns when it telecasts the Suns Draft Special, a live one-program from the team's
draft party at the Fox Sports Grill in Scottsdale this Thursday, June 26, at 5:30 p.m.
Hosted by Brad Steinke, Bob Fiscella, Jody Jackson & Kevin McCabe, FSN AZ's Suns Draft Special is the only live & local television program dedicated tocovering the Phoenix Suns during the 2003 NBA Draft. The show will televise the team's first-round selection as it occurs in New York City and will provide local insight on the selection and other draft day happenings from the team's decision-makers, including live interviews with general manager
Bryan Colangelo & head coach Frank Johnson.
In addition to the interviews with Colangelo & Johnson after the pick is made, Suns point guard Stephon Marbury & senior executive vice president Cotton Fitzsimmons are also scheduled to visit the Arizona Sports Report's set at the grill for live interviews during the program.
FSN AZ's special will include other live interviews, track the NBA draft as it happens, look at some at the Suns draft day steals & busts over the years and break down the influx of European talent that is available in this year's draft.
The Suns Draft Special will re-air later on Thursday night from 9:00 -10:00 p.m.
Beginning this season, Fox Sports Net Arizona is new cable television home of the Phoenix Suns. In what is the first of a multi-year rights deal, the regional sports network will telecast every Suns home game in 2003-04.
Fox Sports Net Arizona is the region's leader in local sports programming and continues to televise the most regional sports action in the state, airing approximately 1,200 hours of original local programming a year. The network is currently the exclusive cable television home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Coyotes, University of Arizona, Arizona State University, the nightly Arizona Sports Report and beginning in the 2003-04 NBA season, the Phoenix Suns. The network is currently seen in 2.0 million households in Arizona and New Mexico.
Fox Sports Net is America's first truly national, regional and local supplier of sports programming, and reaches more than 80 million homes through its 21 regional sports networks. With the recent addition of the
Suns to its lineup, FSN now has the rights to 67 of the 80 NBA, NHL and MLB U.S. based teams, including 22 of the 28 NBA teams
