Phoenix Suns star guard Devin Booker called Kevin Durant's 42-point performance in Friday's upset over Cleveland at PHX Arena a "masterclass."

Suns coach Mike Budenholzer said the superstar forward was "phenomenal."

The big-time outing capped what turned out to be a historic stretch for Durant as he was named NBA Western Conference player of the week for March 17-23. The NBA announced the honor on Monday.

Durant tied the late, great Kobe Bryant for second-most player of the week honors with 33. Only Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has more with 69.

Durant averaged 27.3 points on 58.8% shooting, 6.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds during the three-game stretch with the Suns winning each one at home over Toronto, Chicago and Cleveland.
