PHX out: Barbosa + Tucker + #15 + $8 TE
PHX in: Artest + Lowry + #28

MEM out: Lowry + Warrick + #28
MEM in: Barbosa + Tucker

SAC out: Artest
SAC in: Warrick + #15 + $8 TE

Resign Giricek to LLE equivalent (hills contract)
Resign Skinner vet min
Sign Quinton Ross to Marks+Piatkowski's contracts

13 deep and floating around the same cap/tax level as last year, taking into account the annual increases.

Nash/Lowry/Strawberry
Bell/Giricek/Ross
Artest/Hill
Amare/Diaw
Shaq/Skinner/Nathan Jawai (#28)

Jawai is an eerie cross between Shaq and Skinner. A raw, big bodied Aussie who loves to be physical and could model his game around's shaq's but can fall back on a decent 12-14 footer and can actually shoot free throws. Has great hops for his size and is quite athletic.

You can't trade players along with the trade exemption. Besides, isn't that 8M expired?

The TE/Artest/draft pick can be a separate transaction. The TE doesnt expire until 1 year from the day of the trade, which was 07/20/07

Chris Wallace gave up expendable assets for a 6th man of the year. This trade gives him legitimacy after his Laker scandal. You'd think a Laker fan would give a memphis trade the benefit of the doubt before passing judgement. Your post failed on both rationality and comedy.

TE can be used to accommodate a trade above the cap, but is not something that can be "traded". So, in the original propopal, Suns can, but don't need to, use the KT TE to make it happen for their part of the trade. The bottleneck was at the Grizzs. If they have a TE or under cap to absorb LB's contract, then everything goes through without the KT TE being involved. If not, it's not gonna work anyway.

Gotcha. Trade needs to be done when next season's salary levels kick in, I believe that is July 9th(ie post draft)

Interesting tidbit I found from the CBA FAQ:

Teams can use different exceptions to acquire multiple players in the same trade if those players could also have been acquired individually using those exceptions.
