Got this from another board.

According to WFAN, who is citing an article from today's Bergen Record, Mike Piazza has demanded a trade because he is fed up with the organization and the direction it is headed.

In a separate instance, Tom Glavine has reportedly approached management with his dislike for Piazza and having to pair with him as a NYM battery upon Piazza's return from injury.

I think he'd look good in a d-backs uni ... but I prefer it if he only played 1st base! He's too much of liability as a catcher.

Rats deserting the sinking ship. Ha! I hate the Mets.

It's not like Glavine didn't know what he was getting with Piazza when he signed with the Mets. He made his bed. LOLOL.

From what I hear, the Mets are happy with Vance Wilson's catching. He's a much better catcher than Piazza. They want Piazza to go to first base and he is balking at the idea. He wants to continue to play catcher to insure his HOF enshrinement.

No way Curt or Randy would want to pitch to Piazza but his bat would look great in our lineup.

Never happen though, SHea would have to move to third if he played first and suddenly we have the worst fielding corners in the bigs.

The Mets are actually planning for the future instead of haulining in players on the wrong side of 30. If Mike Piazza doesn't like that, then MAYBE, he can find a good fit on an AL team that can use his bat in a catcher/DH/1B situation AND not so focused on winning:

The Baltimore Orioles come to mind.
