I think we should target Josh Jackson.

I've been reading the board and I understand he's a short armed midget with overrated defense and he struggles to shoot from pretty much everywhere. From what I understand he's not even on some teams draft boards. I know it might be a bit high for him at 32.

Honestly I'd be happy with about 5-6 guys in this draft at 4. Fultz, Ball Jackson, Isaac, Tatum even Lauri or Frank Nikiliwhatever in a trade down.

I think guys around here and me to are just to the point over over analyzing these guys.

I was talking to my buddy and said I haven't been into the NBA this much in years. For the first time in a long time. We have a lot of young talent including a potential star with tons of assets.

I know I am and it's not the first draft where I'd have to admit to this, I think it's the 3rd in a row. And I don't think it's just a case of becoming overly critical, some of it is blowback to the ridiculous hyping that's done for the many months that preceded this time of year.

When you hear that Josh is a great defender and then you watch him abandon his man to go stat hunting, you start to question everything you hear about him. When you hear that Fultz is the next great superstar and you watch him sleepwalk through 30 minutes of basketball, you start to question everything about him. And so on.

Sometimes you have to step back and remind yourself that watching entire games tells you so much more than just watching strength and weakness videos. I worry about Jackson's off the court issues but other than that, I'm no longer convinced he's a bad pick at 4. I'm not convinced he's a great pick either. I'm just not convinced, on him or any of these guys, one way or the other.

I've said that in a couple other threads. We've just completely over analyzed these guys. Picked them apart to death. No one seems a prize any longer and yet the nba GMs keep calling it a great draft, so it probably is.

Just some thoughts at Swanigan at #32.

Think Alan Williams but:

An inch taller
2 inches more in wingspan
an outside jumper

I would take Swanigan in a heartbeat at #32 if he's there, but I think he's picked towards the end of the first.
