Sorry if this has been brought up in another thread but just wondering what people would think about them playing together? I think they would both be pretty tough on opponents playing together.

The idea of playing Lopez and Gortat together was mentioned in a recent game by Suns announcers. There was thought Gentry would try this lineup sometime during the season. For some reason it hasn't happened, at least to my knowledge.

I don't think it would work that well because they mainly play the pick and roll with Nash and Gortat, so Lopez would just get in the way. Better to have Frye on the floor who can hit from outside. Perhaps when Telfair is in there?

I'm beginning to like this idea. i've always felt we were a pf away from making this team a good team. someone to fill the void that amare left. although gortat will not completely fill the void of offense, his better rebounding and defense will make up for it. let lopez start, and bring in a more conventional pg to start, maybe dragic.

we'd have dragic, brown, gortat and lopez starting. I'm not too sure who we'd put at the 3 position. but obviously a long and versatile wing is ideal.

bench: frye, telfair, dudley, redd, morris. we'd need another center and pg.

there would be a lot of length. we'd be young. and defense is looking okay at the front and back court. this might be the best solution with this weak free agency coming up.

I think it's worth a shot... Would've liked to see how it would've worked against San Antonio, when both Duncan and Blair were owning Gortat and Frye.

There's a reason why the Suns' system works and why Nash became a two-time MVP in it after having never averaged 9.0 assists or shot .490 from the field in eight NBA seasons prior.

Obviously, many fans don't understand the dynamics at play.
