The June 1st cut date will once again disappoint those who are banking on using it to make a big free agent splash. There will be two defensive backs the Cards may consider and look to sign. The best of the bunch is Tyrone Williams CB of the Falcons and ZacK Bronson SS of the Niners. If both players are healthy and don't have unrealistic contract demands then it makes sense for the Cards to bring them in and give them consideration. The only corner currently still on the market of any note is Cliff Crosby of Indianapolis who is a good special teams player.

When there's Crosby, can Hope be far behind?

AKA - ESPN made reference to Tyrone Williams in the same breath as Cardinal roster needs. How good is the dude? Anyone know?

I heard the Tyrone has a bad attitude, hence why he'll be available.

slanidrac reporting from Chicago.....

I think there is a good chance that R.W. McQuarters might be cut. He has not lived up to his 5m contract and the Bears also drafted Nathan Vasher. Don't really know if he would be an upgrade , but he has returned punts.

Milloy was in essence a June cut.
Every year a team cuts a decent player or two for cap reasons.

You never know but for the Cards to offer the dude needs to fit in their plan and not just a name signing.

Williams is a bit on the smallish size and can tend to give up some big plays. He's a middle of the pack CB......

Man, if Milloy had been cut THIS summer, I'd bet we'd be all over him. Upgrading the talent. Last year, many thought it was smart to not go after available playmakers like Milloy. I think they've learned their lessons; I know Green would love to jump all over an opportunity like that this year.
