Is this the ONLY way we can WIN?? The reason I mention this is because as I settled in to watch the IOWA/PENN STATE game there was all this talk about how IOWA had to play "perfect" to even have a chance of winning. Well, IOWA DID NOT play perfect that day! They had a bonehead fumble deep in their own territory and a costly interception as well. They even TRAILED by (9) points to start the 4th. BUT................IOWA WON!! So much for playing "perfect". The key to winning was that even though PENN STATE had (3) drives of 70+ yards they were kept out of the end-zone and forced to settle for FG's. The other "key", and this is where you guys come in, the crowd stayed energized thru-out the whole game because Iowa stayed within striking distance. BE LOUD & PROUD Sunday! We have a real good shot at this one whether we play perfect or not. GO CARDS!

Win the turnover battle and you win 77% of the time. That is the key to victory!!!

I want to see more trick plays and personnel oddities. D players on O and such. The team was loser when they were doing that.

I expect a few things this Sunday. I'm thinking A Quan pass out of the "Pahokee" formation. It seems Wiz uses them against big time opponents. (Skins-pass by Urban, Carolina-fake FG, Steelers-fake punt) The Gmen better be on full alert this weekend!!!

Even if we play a perfect game....sadly the Jints will be more perfect. With that running attack they will take the twelfth man out of the game very early and frustration will set in. I am more concerned about a winnable game on Thursday.

I don't know about perfect..the Giants did lose to the Browns (badly) so they are human. Cards need to play well for sure..

I would have to disagree. We have a far better shot at beating the Giants @ home than traveling to the east coast on a short week & beating Philly on a cold, possibly wet night. The Eagles are better than their record indicates & every week is a must-win situation for them. If we beat BOTH the Giants & Eagles, then there will be no doubt in my mind that we are the best team in the NFC.

lol, this word is always butchered on the internet, but I think this is the first time I have seen it screwed up in the opposite direction.

Yeah, I noticed it when I was going through the thread again. Could have edited it, but a man has to learn from his goofs.

I just don't want to see any delay of game penalties and no false starts. The other penalties I can kind of deal with. But that is just team management and this is game 11.

I think the key to victory for the Cards is not to beat themselves with penalties and turnovers and to play physical football. The Giants punch you in the mouth, and you've gotta be able to absorb the hit and punch right back (see the Browns game). Both the D and O lines are extemely physical football.

We agree to disagree....sort of overused phrase. I'll take a split and go into the last 4 at 8-4!!! How does that sound? If we sweep get your tickets to Tampa now.

This Cardinal football team is a lot more physical than most people give them credit for. But when you hit them hard Cards, finish the tackle, no trying to just knock them down. That is the key to winning today, finishing the plays.

If I was Pendergrast, I would fine a guy a significant amount every time he tried to make a tackle without using his arms. That has been the main problem with our defense and the reason why we miss so many tackles.
