we win a couple of games by the skin of our teeth and people are mentioning playoff's. bah.

If we go out and absolutely dominate the Steelers like I havent seen since we dominated the cowboys in our only playoff win this half century...I will be sold, and truly belive we have turned a corner, and may possibly finish the season with a decent record.

If we beat the steelers as we have the last couple of weeks, playing a pretty solid game, and only shooting ourselves in the foot 2-3 times during the game, but still overcome it and escape with a win. We havent turned the corner but, we are at least turning our head to look the right way.

If we get blown out...it's back to square one...but I think we won't completley have the blinders on as we did heading into the bye....not until a couple back to back blowouts anyway.

Though if we DOMINATE an entire 4 quarters Offensively / Defensively / and special teams I will be grinning from Ear to Ear for the rest of the season. That is what I dream of every week, watching MY team absolutely destroy team X - whomever that may be.

Oh please make this the week...

GO Cards!!

you know what this game could be - do you guys remember the Giants game back in 1999 - we started out 2-6, won two games in a row and then went to NY - it was the last game I actually remember our boys really take it a team on the road - I think we won 34-24 - Swann had a touchdown, Jake threw some wobblers to Rob Moore and it really gave me hope for the rest of the season - of course we won the next game - against the Eagles in that big comeback before injuries and team turmoil ripped the team apart for the last 4 games - but after that win I was supremely confident - let's hope this is the week they put it all together against a struggling Steelers club on the road and give us all hope for the rest of the year - although the results for the rest of the season should be better than the rest in 1999. Another game this could be like is the 2001 Raiders game - come on boys, a win here will turn some heads and be major momentum!

First, thanks for burstring the bubble. But you are correct. Many of us will take a win any way we get it. But I'm also hoping for the blowout. Of course all of us hope that we go out and slap them all over the damn field. But with the last 2 wins we're building confidence. When we made the playoffs the wins that enabled us to get in were very close. But damn, look at what we did to dallas when we got there. Mini soda was another story. And on that crap they call a field. This time I think we keep the core together. And then who knows? It's new territory after that.

If we beat

the steelers, period, we've definitely arrived! Blow out or not. How many so called GREAT teams have gotten there by winning morwe than their share of squeakers? We beat a very good Green Bay team, a very good San Francisco, the touted"up and coming" Bengals and to beat Pittsburgh on the road would be huge. 1, 3, 7, 10 pts. It doesn't matter.

It doesn't matter how, but if you win in this league. Any way we can get it done on the road would be welcome. Agreed - if the Cardinals win heads will turn, but the spin will be on how pathetic the Steelers have become, not about an up and coming Cardinal team that has won three straight. Talk of play offs is stupid until we get to .500. There are still three teams ahead of us in the Division! IF we win the next two can be playing for second place vs Rams at home Nov 23. Pass the koolaid.

GBR!

Yes, Scrooge, it is a long season and I don't think we can blow out the Steelers but a win is a win is a win.

Most teams are not blowing out their opponents. If/when we get to .500 then we can start talking about a winning season (no playoffs yet).
