I don't want to hear K9 if Shipp fails to get in again on this drive.

Although I have to admit, K9 has a valid point. I didn't see it but they made it sound on radio like Shipp had a chance on the 8 yard run and one of the 2 short runs to get in but didn't.

is Arrington even active, 2nd quarter and no sign of him in the stats?

Well I have to give K9 credit though, Shipp still hasn't scored a TD now in almost 2 full years (not counting last year) so his point IS valid. Our power runner, admittedly having a very good start to this game, is not very good at scoring TD's. Don't think it's all his fault, but once again we settle for a FG.

JJ is on the sidelines. Green is still pissed about the Washington game apparently.

Shipp could've scored on the 2nd down run, IMO. But, he turned his back to spin and he was done. Had he lowered his head and gone forward he could've stuck the ball across.

I wanted them to take four cracks at running it in if necessary. I didn't like the 3rd down pass.

IS JJ in uniform?

I'm having Sirius problems again, it's so windy it's hard to keep my antenna on the balcony so I turned the game off. When I was listening they were just talking about how hard Shipp was running, didn't even mention JJ which made me wonder if he was even active.

Hey sometimes you gotta admit when you are wrong. I am a HUGE Marcel Shipp fan, but K9 is right. He cannot find his way into the endzone, and is not a first string NFL back. But neither is Arrington.

Time to get a new RB in Arizona.

Yeah hes suited up.

thanks, thought maybe Green was punishing him by not suiting him up.

Shipp is running well so he deserves to keep getting the carries.

Not sure JJ needed his helmet and pads for that third down play.....looks like JJ was ready to lay down, before contact:biglaugh:

Yea even I have to admit he should have scored on that one aj. Agree he should've lowered his head there. It also kinda looked like to me if he could've done a juke or a studder step right there and maybe used his blocker a little better and gone to the outside he could've scored too. What do I know however?

We won't hear the end of K9 talking about how he should've scored though now fer shore.

Russ, I am falling off the JJ bandwagon fast. He caught a quick pass out of the backfield on 3rd and 8 and took, what appeared to me, another dive. Just kinda lowered his shoulder and fell down...samething happened on a run off left tackle.

Kid seems to be playing scared. Gives zero second effort at all.

Arrington has played fairly well in the 2nd half IMO. It's looked like Shipp has had some holes in this game, but he is too slow to get through them.

After that many shots, we have come to realize we need someone that can get in the endzone... Sorry Shipp... The Tugboat looked like a bass boat today....

Didn't see or hear the game, I assume this was the 3rd and 10 where he got 5 because the other catch he had he was facemasked according to NFL.com.

Had a better game today average wise than the last 3 games at least.

Sounds like after a nice start Shipp kind of fizzled out too, had 39 yards in the first quarter and only 18 the rest of the way plus the redzone failures again.

The one thing on the catches by JJ, I said this when we drafted him and will say it again, JJ is NOT a great receiver out of the backfield, he doesn't catch the ball over his shoulder all that great he prefers to turn and catch the ball face on and then turn upfield. That's a lot harder to do in the NFL and I think it's got a lot to do with his 5.7 YPC number. It's something he really has to improve on, it's why he came out on 3rd downs for Lynch his senior year at Cal, they knew Lynch was a much better receiver.

Lotta work to do for JJ this offseason, hopefully the OL will get better I really think with a good offseason and some actual holes, he'll be a different player next year. But I still wouldn't pass on White or DeAngelo if we get a shot.

Yea it looked like he just ran right into the pursuit on that last TD attempt. Maybe if he could have tried to go to the outside just enough he might've been able to score? I know Shipp isn't the fastest guy on the team but it looked he just needed a quick change of direction there to his left and he might've snuck in. Armchair RB here.:)
