anyonr have plus/minus stats for season?

I'd be curious to see:

Knight has to lead us in "-" right?

How much more "-" does he have than the next player on roster?

How many "+" games does he have this season?

Where does he rank in terms of total "-" among all NBA players, on a per game basis?

Heres the whole team from NBA sortable player stats... (sorting by team lets you see the whole team together)
+- is the last entry for each player -- followed by chars plmi so they're easier to spot
I'm pretty sure this is for the first six games

Knight is indeed the worst on the team with -8.3 and his closest competition is Len at -7.6.

+/- is integers, so whatever that stat is has to be something else.

The result of each game is an integer but the average per game or per 48 includes a fractional part. I probably answered too quick for you to fix it yourself

I don't understand your second sentence. Whether it's per game or per 48 makes a huge difference. If we don't know what the stat is, it's useless for comparing anything.

Yeah I may not have posed the questions exact enough. I suppose per 48 is the real indicator that would be a valid comparison.

82games.com used to do an incredible job with these kind of on/off court stats and lineup comparisons but they seem to only update their database like twice a season lately and have nothing up yet for this year.

82games.com gave them as per 48 and I think that became the de facto standard so I assumed thats what they were. Perhaps not, the column header merely said "+-". I imagine if one dug around mba stats one could find the definition of the stat. There's pretty good chance they are per game, come to think of it, because NBA.com doesn't often give per minute type stats. They use per 100 possessions more than per unit time.

So, in other words, they could be per game, they could be per n minutes, or they could be per m possessions, all of which are different and likely to yield different rankings. And yet when I pointed out the confusion, you made a belittling remark about how I must not have taken the time to think about it.

Jeez, Eric, it wasn't belittling and it was not made at that point of the conversation... your opening post said whatever the numbers might be they couldn't be +- because the numbers were not integers and I pointed out that a +- number could be an average or a rate instead of a raw figure and credited you with brains to realize that, once you gave it some thought. Pardon me for my mistake. (Now this is belittling, see the difference.)
