I have a bunch on my iPhone. They were fine one day, then after taking a walk one day, seems like all the movement caused something to haywire and now they only play back at double speed.

Did a google search but the solutions they offered didn't work.

Any idea what it could be?

Was this a solution that didn't work?

With iPhone 3.0 on any iPhone you now can control the scrub speed and you can play the audio podcast back at 1X, 2X or 1/2X speed. This is a great way to speed through a podcast!!

Just start playing podcast and touch the screen and on the right side near the top you will see 1X, just touch to get the speed you want.

Variable scrubbing is done by dragging your finger down.

Yeah, this is kind of a goofy issue. If you're not used to playing with the controls, you never see the speed option. To get from the first picture below to the second one, you have to touch the middle of the screen (like BIM posted). From there, you will see the speed controller (1X here). You can touch that and it will change from 1/2X to 1X to 2X. HTH.

OMG!! that was it! touching the middle of the screen - I had to do it several times since it only briefly appears then disappears.

Thanks guys!
