We have a meeting going on that has about 40 people spread out in one room, with our LA sales guy, and the Bangalore office dialed in on conference call. The external microphone on the standard polycom just doesn't pick up people on the edges talking, Bangalore in particular can't hear them. I disconnected the call, borrowed a different phone from another room that has 2 additional mics, and reconnected. But the CEO now wants us to buy a new phone to solve this problem.

I'm just wondering if anybody else has come across a product they like for this situation? I found this on CDW

They won't even give me a quote, said their telephony expert has to meet with us for a quote, I pressured them into a ballpark $2100. This one only has 2 extra mics, 3 would be ideal in the room setup we're using. Here's a pic of the one from CDW.

Excellent thanks for the link. Our IT guy is checking with a local vendor on pricing too but $909 sure beats the hell out of $2100 and you have to meet with our telephony expert.

Pocket the difference

I would double check with that reseller for $909. For one you have to buy two to get that price and the one you were looking at is not the same part numbers. I also looked at my cost and it is 1682.25, so something is wrong on that price.
