A decision on whether manager Bob Brenly will be disciplined for throwing a ball into the Bank One Ballpark stands won't be announced until at least Friday, Major League Baseball chief disciplinarian Bob Watson said.
"I haven't talked to Bob," Watson said Tuesday. "I have talked to the club and the general manager (Joe Garagiola Jr.)."
Watson said he expected to receive ample copies of the incident on tape today and will review them.
Brenly is under investigation for an incident last Friday in which he was ejected by home plate umpire Tim McClelland while making a pitching change in the seventh inning of a 10-7 loss to San Francisco, and then heaved the ball from the pitcher's mound.
