If they were bought from the iTunes store, then no, they only work on Ipods. If they are generic mp3's that you have just been using iTunes to play on your computer, then they will work with other mp3 brands.

Unless you buy/download a program that converts the itunes format into mp3, you're stuck with using your ipod for the itunes songs.

From itunes they are MP4p (protected) there are ways to remove the protection and it is legal (allegedly) if you paid for them but it isn't that easy.

The easiest way is to use itunes to burn them to CD then rip them to MP3.

Bump - does the burning to disk in itunes and then ripping back to MP3 still work? I want to buy an album on itunes thats only $6 and then put it on my jukebox.
