Well what do I do? Do I send Jerry $3800 for 10 games of postseason tickets? Or do I not get them and plan my leaf tour of New England? The pessimist in me says the D-backs aren't going to make the playoffs and if they do sneak in they aren't going to get out of the first round.

The fan in me says that I support the team and one way of showing that support is to pay for the tickets. With the pitching staff doing so well you never know what will happen in a short series. Then I think back to last year and we did so poorly in the playoffs.

WHAT TO DO? Hmmm.........

Get the tix - you could always give them away/sell them if you had to.

Me, I'm waiting till the last day - Sept 4 - to decide. They will apply your payment to next season, or if you ask - IN WRITING!!! refund to you, but those bucks are a lot to tie up. I figure we'll know by the end of this homestand if we have any chance of playoffs - but if we face Atlanta right off, it may be a darn short post-season. Wish I knew who they plan to bring up from Tucson, because as it is currently constituted, my beloved team just doesn't have the lumber to even make a dent in the post season. Talk all you want about great pitching beats great hitting - not unless the great pitching brings along a smidgen of offensive support. The word 'deadwood' is not a pun lately.

I'm waiting as well. They need three good consistent hitters, 2 more besides Gonzo. We added another good streaker in Hillenbrand, and Fins carried the team for his 2 months, Cintron has some moments. But for them to win, even with Randy back in good form, we need to have more consistency. The team average is not bad, you just never know who is going to be hitting reliably that night, Gonzo and ...... I wanted Jerry to trade for Giles and Kendall (if he had to) so Bad, but I can understand with all the salary from the past he's got to toe the line. We've been spoiled and still had a lot of good baseball with some great streaks thrown in this year. But I really believe with those 2 (or 2 other solid >310 20-30 hrs guys) on board, and our pitching we'd have 2 more World series (not wins nec. but at least a shot) under our belts.

Much depends on your own financial situation... You won't be out any money, as you can apply unused tix towards next year's season tix... and if you opt not to get the season tix, there's a window to get refund.

So depends on whether you can float the cash to JC & company right now....

after these last 5 games the decision is an easy one. Jerry won't be getting any money from me until it is time to renew my season tickets.

I'd be willing to bet the house that early "investment" for post season tickets is VERY light!

I think season ticket-holders should get another week extension to decide. Seriously.

got a recorded call today saying that i still had time ot order post season tickets. Fat chance of that happening. If they do make it to the playoffs, which I doubt, i could scalp some.
