I need to design and print an important poster for a scientific conference, and it's big, odd-sized (the size of a narrow door, basically), and I need a lot of flexibility. But has to be easy - I don't want to have to spend a day learning how to use the software. That's why I am not up for hassling with general drawing or slide-show software to fit the necessary peculiarities. Does anyone have experience with poster-design programs like PosterGenius or Poster 8. or ProPoster?

Cheap Easy and nice looking for the most part... It just zooms whatever you do and turns it into a PDF for printing on a normal sized printer... I don't know if that is what you wanted but I use it for signs and I also made a 4 ft by 3 foot lazer color Cards logo for my garage....

eh, it needs to be done on super high-res vector whatchamijiggy I've been advised. The poster is six feet by 2.25 feet -- weird size.
