New TV show on the PlayStation Network.

Powers, an edgy dramatic series, follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as “Powers.” Set amidst today’s paparazzi culture, Powers asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals?


Enter the men and women of the Powers Division, the brave people in charge of protecting humans like us and keeping the peace over commercialized, god-like men and women who glide through the sky imposing their power over the mortals who both worship and fear them.

Great creator-owned comic series by Brian Michael Bendis. Can't wait to see what they do with it.

LOL If you have to label yourself edgy, you probably aren't. I don't know the Playstation network, or if you need a box to watch it. Kind of looks like a CW show to me. That said, I'd give the pilot a look-see just in case, if I can.

So very interesting but the pilot was a mixture of some cool stuff and some bad acting.

Did anybody ever watch this? I tried and became quickly disinterested after a couple episodes until this week when I binge finished the show.

I guess if you like the show, great news as it is a hit on the PSN network and was renewed for season 2.

However, the show has some good acting but also some bad. It has some good FX and then some bad. The writing one episode seems decent and the next bad. It's definitely a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde thing for me.

The one redeeming quality about the show is it's pretty dark. Probably even for cable TV. It does give them some freedom. Although, sometimes they go out of there way to drop the "F" bomb every other word to show how grown up the show is which is incredibly transparent.
