After reading this thread, I went excitedly in search of the box score. Talk about hype not meeting expectation lol Then again, after last season, even a single beam of light will rightly be welcomed.
You had to watch the game. Well played and the good coaching was obvious as you saw improvement as the game progressed.

I’ve been watching Cardinal preseason games for what seems like 100 years. It was definitely one of the better ones. They certainly have a long ways to go, but you can see what kind of culture JG is trying to build. Loved that he allowed Tune to play through a rough start. And JG looked poised and composed throughout while he allowed his coordinators to call the game & make some mistakes in the process. Regardless of the win/loss record this season, this team is pointing in the right direction.

Did Isiah even play? Don't see a single stat registered to his name.

I liked how fast (quick/sudden) Zaven looked out on the edge, and also the way the defense was flying around. They looked fired up.

For us (who follow the teams every move) it's easy to see all the little things that are changing for the better. There's cause for optimism.
Collins had a nice play where the offense was all going the opposite direction and he ran behind the line parallel and made the tackle for a loss on the other side of the Oline

Spoken just like somebody who didn’t watch the game… First movies now sports… lol

Not to mention, I don’t recall anybody in here, saying the team set the world on fire…. Just happy with the effort, lack of mistakes and overall feel. Not to mention the refreshing use of an actual quarterback, sneak up the middle.

Don't want to broken record but our D-line > our O-line

Team seemed focused, players cared eventho it was only a preseason
Remember that our best OL guy, Hump, didn't play. But I don't know if you meant last night or what we have, as of now, going into the season.

I think if the broncos fans could cut Russell Wilson today, they would do so without thinking twice..

If we do decide to trade Kyler, which don't think we will, we should make a list of those who might be interested. I'll start with Denver and NE. Even if the jury is still out on Mac Jones. Any other teams, Dallas maybe? TB?

I was disappointed in the play of Clement at RB. He just doesn't appear to have the quickness, speed or power to be a viable replacement for Connor. I thought Tyson Williams and Demercado both looked better than Clement. I don't think Clement will make the roster, which is no big deal because I don't think much was expected from him.

The last 1:30 was hype. It's been a while since we've seen a successful 2 minute drive. Preseason doesn't matter but the Broncos played their starters until 5 minutes left in the second quarter and they still didn't win

Apparently Clement is a special teams ace

Card'em I thought it was just me! I expected him to be the bell cow per se last night and he was extremely underwhelming. Was a big fan of his with the eagles, and was happy when we signed him, thinking he could be a rotational guy, but he just didn't have it this game.

I never really looked at Clement as anything other as a #3 back. The nice thing he’s versatile.

I don't understand why everyone thinks this is a great play by Clark. A poorly thrown pass by the QB is what made this play possible. If the QB puts it where it's suppose to be it's a completion and possible big gainer. Overall i think Clark played pretty well however this is not one to crow about.

He can only play the ball as it is, which he did very well.

Literally every pass ever made would be a completion if the QB put the ball in the perfect spot. The offense always has the advantage.
